S.A.G.E. has launched a new U.S.-Middle East Education Fund. Professor Thomas Winder has joined our Board of Directors because of his expertise in Middle Eastern issues, and is serving as Vice President for the U.S.-Middle East Education Fund and its' programs.
Professor Winder has extensive knowledge of the region. He is an alumni of the Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem, and has a masters of Archaeology and Hebraic studies. He has traveled in the Middle East many years, and has unprecedented contacts throughout the region.
The first International Symposium on Middle Eastern Archaeology was held in Amman, Jordan, and will be followed by additional symposiums planned for Syria, Turkey, and hopefully, Saudi Arabia.
Professor Winder has spent the past several years during the "dig seasons" working on the archaeological dig at Sodom and Gomorrah, in Jordan, with Dr. Steve Collins of Trinity Southwest Seminary, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
